I bought a Fiat Stilo 1.9 jtd 2004. I have a problem: After i stop the car and lock the doors, after some time i see the radio button lights but the radio isn't turned on. When i open the doors, the radio button lights are go out. At ignition, radio always turns on independently it was turned on last time or not. When I drive the car, and i turn off radio, the radio buttons are always lighting. So my question, how can i do to not be there any lights on radio buttons after I lock the car?

I'm not 100% sure how the radio works... but it should behave as follows;

When the ignition is switched off, the radio will stay on if it was already on... but only for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes the radio will turn off and it won't come on again by itself when you turn on the ignition. It stays off until you switch it on again.

If you switch the radio on when the ignition is off, the radio will only stay on for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes the radio will turn off and it won't come on again by itself when you turn on the ignition. It stays off until you switch it on again.

The radio should not come on (or illuminate any lights) when it is off, no matter what you do with the ignition.

So, it sounds like the "brains" of the radio's operation are inside the radio unit itself... in which case there must be a fault with the unit.

I would remove it and fit another one (or just disconnect it if you don't use the radio). Stilo radios don't fit anything else so every Stilo being broken for parts has the radio still in it, so they can't cost much. You will need a new code if you have a new radio (unless the radio code has been disabled)... but you can get the codes from this forum if you search for the guy(s) who can provide them.

Otherwise your local friendly Fiat dealer should be able to get hold of them... but they tend to be moody and not all that friendly..

Thank You Ralf S, so probably the radio has something problem. Maybe it switches on after 20 minutes, but fortunately only the buttons light, not the whole radio i will buy another radio because it has cassette player and i would like cd player in it.
