I have just bought a new Fiat Stilo 1.6 16V 2002.
I have tried many times to change the time and the date but I couldn't.
When I press menu button then up or down button , I get only few settings including speed limit, but there is no Time, date, and language.??
why?
what is the problem? Is it with the Ecu?

Please help.
I am waiting....

You should try cycling through the submenus while stationary. So engine running, but car is not moving. It will give you more options then. I guess it's a safety feature, so you will not have a crash while driving and trying to set the date / time simultaneously... :)

Briefly press button MODE to start surfing from the standard
screen. To surf the menu use buttons up or down. For safety reasons,
when the car is running, it is possible to access only the
reduced menu (for setting the “Speed limit” and “Automatic
headlight sensor sensitivity adjustment” (where provided).
When the car is stationary access to the whole menu is enabled.
On cars provided with Connect/Navigator many functions
are displayed on the navigator display.

At some time in it's history, the car has probably had a Connect Nav radio fitted. With the Connect Nav, most settings such as language, time, date etc. are adjusted via the Connect Nav, not the MODE panel buttons.

You can change the settings back to the MODE panel buttons with MES available here: www.multiecuscan.net
.

I think Draven has a right, the car has now no GPS or Radio.
The previous owner took it.
So I need to change settings.
...
Because I tried everything and Ididn't pass.

Mr.Davren, can the free version of multiecuscan do it?
And where exactly can find this option to change the settings back to the MODE panel buttons?
It would be very nice if you could help me...

No.... you will need the registered version.

And where exactly can find this option to change the settings back to the MODE panel buttons?

In older versions of MES there was a dedicated section for changing the settings back to the MODE panel buttons after a Connect Nav had been removed, but it doesn't seem to be there in newer versions.

Select your "Make", then "Model/Version", then "System", then "Body", then "CAN Monitor / Vehicle Settings", then Connect (F10), then Adjustments (F7), then highlight and change each of the settings you want to change, then Execute (F10).

This method will only change individual settings, but does not change the setting back to the MODE panel buttons. So you would have to repeat it with MES every time you wanted to change a setting. For example changing the time for Daylight Saving Time twice a year. (I think the EU are abandoning DST after the change in October 2019).

Alternatively, instead of selecting "CAN Monitor / Vehicle Settings", select "CAN Setup / PROXY Alignment Procedure". This should remove the Connect Nav from the CAN (Control Area Network) and return the settings to the MODE panel buttons.

I had the same problem as Borhan has, i took my car today to a Fiat service. They solved it with proxy alignment in 15 minutes. :)
