Anyone willing to try something for me?:

With the igntion on, press "Setup".
Press "Connect" (I've been told its the last 3 buttons along the bottom, just use one of them) 3 times.
WITHIN 10 SECONDS press "Enter".

I've been told that this gives out the information that the Examiner gives you. Might be a bunch of bull$h14 but you never know . . .

Hmmm, may try that later, WHEN I get the car back?!

You sure it doesn't start a self-destruct sequence? :chin:

Shame.

It has to be an OE fitment if that helps. I kinda didnt believe it myself but thought it was worth a go. I know how to repogram the alarm to different countries but thats not as doody!

What it does give you is the various software and hardware versions, build date etc. Also a speaker test procedure..... enjoy

Ah, so it does something then. Shame I don't have connect, just heard it from a mechanic somewhere . . .

Doesn't do a thing on my Abarth Connect Nav+ (freezin outside now as well)

Is there a particular version that does this (8.5 not 9.8?) I cant make it work. Is there a mistake in the instructions?

Anymore on this? I cant make it work.

xenius posted a different way of doing it; not having Connect I cannot tell which one works and which one doesn't, but for the guys who can't get it to work, it may help.

I've tried it and it does indeed work!!!! I was very surprised when the secret aid menu appeared. You can check all the eqipment, test the speakers and do something else thet i don't know what it is. Does anybody know what what that second option is on the aid screen (the first is speaker test, and thisrd is next menu whre it shows more info). I can't actuall y tell u what it says 'cause it's aword thet mkes no sense to me in spannish so i can't really transalte it!!!!

Whoever found out theese functions; Well Done!!!!!!!!!!!

I still keep meaning to try this out!

Maybe tomorrow - I am intrigued by it all as well.
