Technical Parking Sensors Retrofit ?

I personally don't recall reading of anyone that's gone to the effort and extremes of retrofitting the factory system to the car. I'd suggest referring to ePER and fishing around to see what part numbers etc you can see. That might offer some leads on what's required.

That said, given the abundance of aftermarket kits available and how easy they are to fit, I don't see why you wouldn't go down that route?

Hint: if you do go down this route, be careful with the hole saw that's provided in the kit; they can be a bit cheap and I've known them to break, which risks damaging your bumper.

Well i've delved into ePer and can see that the factory fit option had a separate wire for the sensors in the rear bumper but ePer doesn't list any different main wiring for either the centre to rear section or the dash which lists parking sensors. So i assume the main wiring has it already it's just the final wire that doesn't get fitted along with the control unit.

There's an abarth being broken by me which has the sensors etc. so IF i buy this car the weekend I might pop over and see what i can get off the abarth to see if i can retrofit it.
