Hi all, as the title says I’m building a grande punto rally car. I’m looking at using the 1.4 engine from the stilo.
I’m looking to find parts for the engine but can’t seem to find anything credible.
If anyone can give me some direction as to where to go for parts let me know.
Mainly what I’m looking for is forged con rods and pistons and a fairly aggressive set of cams.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks LeonL. I’ve been looking more today and I recon I’m just going to get a set of arp bolts for the con rods. And just keep the limiter a bit low in terms of the bottom end. According to the maths the standard bottom end should handle 7500rpm so just the rod bolts for good measure.

Just get a t-jet engine+ecu+loom+other crap..
The 120 hp stock engine will give you more of the power + reliability you could ever hope from the 1.4NA. Plus bonus: a lot of aftermarket parts.
Drop the reliability a bit and you can easily get 150-180 hp.

Can’t run a forced induction in the class I want to be in! I’m not overly concerned by reliability in the general sense. I only need 12hrs of racing out of the engine before a rebuild. And I’ve no interest in standard fiat wiring and programming. I’ll be using an EFI Technologies ecu and the car will be rewired with aircraft looms. Thanks for the suggestion though makes sense if that was the avenue I was looking to go down.
