Hi guys,

something is draining my battery and i don't know what. When checking for power drain with a multi-meter, it shows a drain on 0.4. After removing all the fuses, one at a time, the only change in drain happens when i remove fuse F32. Measure drops down to 0.04. The fuse is ok, not blown.
What should i do?

Check the glove box light too, as mines decided to stay on all the time.

Fixed that, then because I replaced my fiat cassette/radio by a cd player (Non fiat, got it from Aldi)

The fuc&er started doing it again, but this time for some reason you can switch it on without the ignition being on:yuck::yuck:

As long as I don`t leave it unattended anywhere for more than five days it will start. Unless the day starts with a letter of the alphabet, or its cold.

Happy day, hope you find out why your stilo`s mis-behaving badly, like my door locks, if I use the radio key with the three buttons, and I unlock it using that if I don`t open the door within about 15 seconds.

H.a.l. locks it for me.:slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer:

Checked all the lights and the radio. Didn't help:( any other ideas?

Quite simple to check either light, just leave one of the back seats down (or the parcel shelf out), lock car, have look in the side window nearest the boot light after about forty seconds (or all the interior lights go dim then out). And if it stays on BINGO. If not do the same thing with the glove box, but it has a switch along with the vent for fresh air.

Hello guys,

so i checked the boot light-doesn't stay on, checked the glove box-same thing. After that i checked the driver side door electrical plug, the one between the door and the car itself, which was a bit corroded. After cleaning it with some oxide clean spray the drain from the battery, with all the fuses in, was 0.02.

BUt i still think that i have some electrical issues since the next thing that happened today, when i started the car, was that all the lights in the dashboard lighted up like a xmas tree. ALL the lights were on! The car started and it ran well but all the lights were on. I cleaned up the famous D4 connector and a couple more connectors from the engine bay fuse box and then i started the car again. No light lit up anymore BUT for the battery alert and i had an alternator fault notice that mysteriously when off after 2 minutes of driving. The alternator is fine, since i changed it 1 month ago, but i guess I have a loose wire somewhere????

Re: Funny.Independent.Annoying.Trauma.

Glad you sourced your problem, I have just the usual F.I.A.T. problems. 1. everytime it rains heavily (once or twice a week in Glasgow outwith summer, then only once a week:cry:) My temperature gauge decides to stop working, so the fan turns on full blast, then the Idiot light starts to annoy me by staying on the dash, saying TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE and REARFOG - SIDELIGHT FAILURE

Quickly cured by wiggling the wire that comes out of the sender and spraying copious amounts of Wd 40 (or whatever water dispelling spray I have in my garage). Same with the rear fog and sidelight failure bulbs.

And cured, you know I`ve had many a F.I.A.T. and they`re all the same. So just keep all the outside (and some of the inside) copper connections clean and as conductive as possible.

You won`t want to stab your F.I.A.T. with the nearest sharp implement and sell or scrap it.

Because the rain clouds begin to form overhead.:bang::bang::bang:(unless you stay in a desert zone)
