Hi guys, I was just wondering if a 1.6 Stilo exhaust would fit on a 1.9 multijet.... both a 3 door. TIA

No It won't.
I doubt any part (other than hangers or clamps) from a petrol exhaust system will fit a multijet. There are many variations even with the multijet depending on power, market and year.

They're completely different unfortunately.

The 1.6 seems to have a middle silencer that's the size of an aircraft carrier, whereas the diesel (115 JTD) has a more conventional "two small chambers" arrangement.

The rear silencer is also different, because of the big difference in the mid-section arrangement.

Curiously, the 1.4 rear silencer is the same as the 1.9 JTD (115bhp) but on that one the mid-sections are different, being a single small silencer.

Hi guys, sorry to open an old thread but a bargain exhaust has come up for a 2.4 Stilo Abarth and it looks a similar shape to my 1.9 one. Could anyone confirm whether it fits or not? TIA

Hi Robert,
I thought the same myself but I’m thinking, although I’m not 100% sure, this might actually bolt onto the cat. Like I said I’m not certain but the only way to tell is to get under the car and have a look I guess.

Maybe similar to this?

Hi,
I don't think so. the "input" end has a 3 hole flange same as the input to the cat on the original The replacement drawing has either the CAT or a swaged and split end so you can fit it ofer the stub of the cat outlet after you have cut the rest of the exhaust off.
Replacements are ofte sold in more pieces than the original so you only have to replace the rotten bit.

I’m sort of understanding what your saying... but still a little confused. I’ve found 2 more diagrams which I’m pretty sure are the right ones for the 1.9 Stilo that I have. I’m assuming what your saying is where the cat is in the diagram, is where the centre box is on the exhaust I’m looking to buy?
