Seeing as the Stilo only has led bulbs to replace the dull looking standard ones and not units which are significantly brighter and give a much cleaner look, I searched for an alternative. Luckily Vauxhall Signum’s have LED units which are pretty much the The same size as the Stilo’s ones so I ordered some off eBay. All that was needed was obviously the LED units, some resin epoxy glue (as the screw holes don’t line up) and some plyers or some kind of tool to bend the power spades into the right shape to match the stilo’s. 20 minutes later and I was done, 10x cleaner, brighter and gives it a more modern feel and look.

These LED lights are unapproved and therefore not legal for road use. As a result they almost certainly invalidate your insurance.

I am aware of this peter and g8rpi, but I’ve installed these on a few of my other cars and never had any problems with the police or passing and MOT... and I guess a light is better than no lights so until someone says something I’ll be keeping them?

My comment is mainly for others who may notbeaware of the issue and need to make informed decisions about their own car.
Passing an MOT does not validate the lights and if they are picked up following an accident or police stop and your insurers cancel your cover it's too late. Some police forces are hotter on this than others. I've been behind cars with this type of light and they can dazzle or distract other drivers. Personally I try not to do anything to my car that attracts attention.

Now thats a nice looking clean stilo.

Didnt know they did the sporting badge on the rear. I have same colour on a 56 plate in multijet sporting spec.

What engine you got in that? Is it a multijet?.

Now I understand why you drive a Croma...:ROFLMAO:

There have been exceptions

The police never stopped me in that, but twice when parked up other drivers stopped and asked for directions assuming I was the police :).
All fully declared legal and insured

I have modified car insurance so I am fully covered. I understand the points raised, but I like them and to me that's what matters. Enjoy the lights and carry on modding ?

Modified car insurance does not cover illegal modifications. You can't enjoy the lights because they are behind you and the driver following won't enjoy being dazzled by them.

dtimmins1985 Thankyou! And yes it’s the multijet 150. Not only is the ‘sporting’ badge on the rear but I also have an Abarth badge either side on the rear pillars... is yours the same? I can’t seem to find another Stilo with them.

No bud

Mine just says stilo multijet on the boot and sporting on the drivers wing.

Abarth logos on the pillar (do u mean side skirts) if u mean skirts then yes the tiny abarth badge should be on them.

i debadged mine almost imediately but it also just had sporting on front wings i thing and multijet on rear hatch , was jet in red ? something signified jtdm rather than jtd , i dont remember a jtdm badge but there could have been ?
no abarth logos on mine.

No nothing on the skirts. ‘Sporting’ on both front wings and on the boot but then an Abarth logo on each rear pillar... strange?

The sporting badges on the wings seem genuine.

Not sure about the boot one and the abarth ones in the piller are not genuine... i dont mean the badges are not real ones... just meant that they are not usually there on our model.

The boot badge is multijet in chrome, no red jet word and nothing stating JTDm

Im thinking of debadging mine soon but the fiat (well grande abarth badge) has to stay on mine as the boot is recessed for a badge in our models... the older first edition stilo's had the older fiat badge to the left where ours says stilo now.

Still deciding on what i want the bodyshop to do next month.

Also thinking of renaming the beast once shes looking fresh :)
