Hello guys, last week my car was under repair in a service,
for changing an left cv joint, however after I took the car, on ignition I got two errors : ABS fault, ARS fault and they don't work, previously before this replacement of the cv joint, they were working correctly.
Any ideas what could be the problem or some sensors need to be changed coz I have no idea.
Thanks in advance.

Yes as ralf said... however it should clear after starting the car 3 to 4 times if the fault is no.longer present... it wont warn you anymore but will stored in the ecu... if the fault is still present it will keep warning you.

A failing battery can also cause this.

Well, I don't have elm327 for diagnostic purposes, but this error do not dissapear no matter how many times I start and turn off the engine.
Also the battery is one year old, I don't believe the problem is related to it...

did you do the work yourself or did a garage do it? If done by a garage maybe ABS sensor left unplugged after working on that corner of the car. Take it back to them. If you did the work I have ABS woes myself -- I will post when sorted and maybe my repair will help you work out the issue. Hope you soon get it sorted. :)

Well it's has been done by garage and since the replacement of this joint, no more abs or asr, don't know what to do I thought it is something in the computer, but maybe it's not.. perhaps there's some rings attaching to cv joint if they missed to put it in I don't know.

I'm putting my money on one or more of the following:

1) broken sensor wire (inside outer sheath)
2) broken/unplugged/damage pin connector
3) broken/damaged sensor

On the Stilo I can not recall if it has an embedded sensor ring built into the back of the hub or it has a single sensor pole with pulse castles on the hub.

Either was to do the CV joint the hub assembly has to be disturbed big time and if not done carefully then it is way to easy to damage the sensor itself, wires or connector.

If it is not an embedded ring sensor then the mounting bracket for the single sensor probe could have been bent so that the gap to the pulse castles is now to wide to work OR was bent so close as to be in contact with the castles that on rotation the sensor has been destroyed.

Take it back to the garage and get them to sort it out ASAP
