Greeting!

I've inserted ELM327 to check what is the error for Loose Connection I've got. Didn't make it to connect to the phone, so I pluged it out. After that:

1. windows wont lift up or down, not even when I hold the key for 2+ seconds in open position

2. ventilation controls are dead

3. instrument board is half dead, all lights are lit, but rev and speed scales are dead and not lit (picture in attachment)

Does anyone have some clue what could it be? I checked fuses under the steering wheel, and next to the battery, they should be OK. Maybe relay, or some connector, or fuse that I missed?

Car is Stilo 1.8 16V 2002, 5door

Do the headlights work? Not just the blue tell-tale light, but the lamps themselves?

I'm wondering if such a wholesale failure suggests a problem in the Body Control Module. It sits behind the fuse box under the steering wheel.

I presume that your battery works okay (enough to start the car) etc. A weak battery would also cause an electrical brown-out.

Yes, headlights work fine.

I forgot to say, it starts fine, and it runs just normal.

I think, but I'm not certain that sound when locking and unlocking the doors is a bit quieter now. Like it was a bit louder before and more distinctive.

Do you think that Body Control Module could be fried?

I'll second what Ralf has said regarding battery. A dead battery - or very poor battery connections - can cause a whole head of electrical dramas.

My concern for you here though is that the dash panel does not show the odometer, which somewhat suggests it's lost communication with the body module / body computer - which is where that information is stored.

I could be inclined to agree you have a body computer issue which I think needs further investigation.

Ok, it was some bad connection with BCM!

I took it off, sprayed contact spray on every connector and it works again!

Thank you guys!!! (y)
