Hi guys!
So here’s my newest problem with the Stilo!
The alarm keeps going off constantly(and randomly!)
It does it when the cars locked with key fob, locked with the metal key and even when the cars left unlocked.....pressing the unlock button on the key fob dosnt stop the alarm?
Every so often get a ‘theft has been attempted’ message on the dash but no fault codes are stored?
Checked all fuses etc the earths are good and the (car)battery is less than 6months old.
Anyone got any ideas what else could be causing this?or at least how to shut the alarm up ha.
Thanks

I agree with davren... as soon as i read your message i thought it was your bonnet open sensor... only fitted to stilos with alarms.

On one of my Stilos, the alarm sometimes sounds and "Theft has been attempted" message appears if a car or motorcycle with a noisy exhaust passes close to it.

Check that there are no air leaks into the car. For example all windows are fully closed, all door and boot/tailgate seals are correctly seated.

Experiment by switching the ultrasonic sensors off before leaving the car. If that doesn't stop it, switch off the anti-tilt sensor.

If you just want to switch off the alarm completely, instructions how to do that are in the thread I posted a link to in post 2 above.

Thanks Davren, the sunroof is dead but won’t close 100%, the blind always worked but now it’s stuck open,so maybe air is coming in through there....when you press the switch for the ultrasonic is the light supposed to stay on?when I press it the light flashes a couple of times that’s it...the alarm stopped going off but still getting the theft has been attempted on startup?

There should be a large Allen key tool inside the switch panel to close the sunroof if the motor doesn't work.

The light should only flash a few times after pressing the exclusion button(s).

The switches don't permanently disable the ultrasonic and anti-tilt sensors, only until you switch the ignition on again. You would need to press the switch(es) again every time you switch the ignition off.
