So I got this fitted today, and it's loads better than normal one. The engine pulls better and revs freely. Definitely worth the £37 off eBay.

Cool - I hope you enjoy it!

Just a word of caution with aftermarket / high flow air filters - be careful as a lot of them come quite heavily oiled (K&N, BMC and alike) and that oil can very quickly and easily contaminate the MAF meter and kill it good and proper.

I dont know whether this particular brand come oiled or not though.

I want a full bmc style that could match up to my box to retain or gain plenum chamber pressure but they are not made for the stilo engine bay.

I am planning on buying a cheap run about in august before i start messing with the Multijet, its the smartest way to go since its my only car and i I can't afford to have it off the road.. so maybe another fiat? Has to be cheap, tiny engine, cheap to run and not under power... i drive a steep hill home from work and my 1.2 stilo was 2nd gear all the way... the multijet is just awesome by the way... 3rd or 4th and its wanting to pull still, keep getting caught up by the tiny engines up that hill lol.

I wont go on, ill start a thread of my own when I'm sobre lol.

Last I heard you owned two MJs anyway ;-) Hows tricks buddy not heard from you in a while?!

Best setup you can achieve with the MJ is to go FMIC and ditch the SMIC. Then with the SMIC out the way use some silicone hosing to go from the MAF and run into the wing, so that the air filter is sat in the wing where the SMIC used to live. It'll be fed lots of nice happy cold air in there thanks to the grill that used to cool the SMIC.

Long as you don't try fording any streams in it you'll be find and you can get rain jackets for open filters to use during winter months if you're worried.

Hey up buddy.

Ive been posting and lurking around however not really done anything with the MJ since i stripped the other one.

The other one has gone now, the engine was toast and the turbo is a mess... ive never seen a turbo with compressor fins chewed up, looked like a bird strike or something! Anyhow got lots of good parts incase owt breaks on mine.

We are off to portugal next week and my car will be parked up at the airport.

The week i get back i have two jobs for the mj, replace the horn (it failed yesterday, relay and fuse are fine) and replace the glow plugs... which i will get the garage to do (if theyre not torqued to 8nm im not risking taking them out) the other mj ones snapped so must have been seriously over tightened.

Will pm you later buddy.
