Hello!

I have had my Stilo resprung and I now need to have the wheels realigned. The garage that resprung it couldn't get it's laser alignment machine to sit correctly on the wheels so I've taken the car to two of the big guys, Hi-Q and Kwik Fit and they have the same problem. The tracking positively needs correcting, has anyone any ideas or suggestions on who will be able to do it. The car is fitted with FIAT 16inch Shadow Alloys. I am booked in at FIATs on Monday for other issues and I may end up asking them to do it, but I understand they charge £90 which is extortionate!

Look forward to any suggestions.

Cheers:D

You could always try Formula 1 over in Fengate as they were pretty reasonable when I needed my Vectra doing a couple of years back - from memory it was about 40 quid and you got a free follow up check after 6-8 weeks to make sure everything was still in line.

Hi Purple

I have used F1 before and I wasn't impressed, they scuffed my alloys when removing bolts, they're not really careful and the average age of the guys there is about 17. You've got to be of shaving age before you get your hands on my motor!

Cheers.

Ahhh, average of 17 sounds like the PC World syndrome...

I guess I was lucky as the guy who did my motor was about 40 and knew exactly what he was doing - sounds like they run the place using modern apprentices now (they should have kept it as YTS - Young Thick and Spotty...).

Have you tried Apex Tyres over at Mancetter Square? They're normally pretty good and reasonably priced too.

Hello

Apex did the job today, boy are they good, no marks on the alloys, and a precision peice of tracking equipment that cost £28,000, you get a printout of before and after the tracking has been done, well recommended!

Cheers!:D
