I looked at the new Tipo estate today at the local dealers, I really wanted to like it, but I am very disappointed compared with the stilo estate. No sunroof option, no sliding rear seat option, no opening tailgate window, poor rear vision due to small windows in both the tailgate and side rear windows. Tipo also seems narrower inside. Did'nt even bother to ask for a test drive.

Having had 3 Tempra estates and then a Stilo estate and 2 Croma's + a rover 75 estate, I did'nt keep the Croma's or the Rover for long so its unlikely my next estate will be a Fiat. Very glad I kept my Stilo when I brought both the Croma's and the Rover 75 estate.

On the other hand the 124 Spider at the dealers was lovely but no good for my dog !

I think I will look for an immaculate 2006/2007 Stilo 1.9 Multi-jet estate with sunroof and low miles. Did fancy a 2008-10 Mazda 6 diesel estate until I read about the DPF problems.

The Tipo is in Fiat's "budget" side of its range... so it has "not bad" standard equipment but a rather thin options list. I think they keep the price down partly by making it a more standardized model.

I dunno why you would need the estate... the hatch looks pretty enormous and estate-like already... :D
