Hi guys,

I have an 1.6 16v and I want to get some custom sport exhaust pipes, can someone tell me how hard it is to change it ?

For example, would some of these fit ?

Pretty new at this, so I would appreciate some feedback ^_^ :worship:

The items shown in your link are just for show (ornamenti) and to make the car sound different. They are unlikely to have any positive effect on the car's performance, and could make it worse.

They are also not specifically designed for the Stilo, so would need modification of the original exhaust (and probably the rear bumper) to fit them.
.

I understand. So what exhausts should I search for, do you have any suggestions ?

Find someone who can make you a custom exhaust, in stainless steel (at least from hthe catalyst back). This will work out the same price as just a back-box from some "tuning" firm.

I dunno about Romania but in UK there are firms who just make car exhausts and fit them, if you turn up with your car.

Maybe book it in and come on a driving holiday... get it fitted before we Brexit..? :D

Note that there is nothing you can do to your exhaust to get more power. You can get slightly less restriction by fitting a smaller silencer (or deleting the front silencer) but you'll get more noise that bhp. Beware of making it too loud. It's fun for a few weeks.. but I've spent a lot of effort putting cladding and sound-deadening on my car, since I deleted the front silencer. Maybe I'm getting old.. :D

My exhaust is a MIJ exhaust with twin pipes... :D but apart from I took a silencer out and regret it a bit.. :D it looks splendid, sounds better than standard and being stainless steel is in great condition even after 5 years.. so it's a good investment.
