Good Day Peeps,
I'll introduce myself first, my name is Tom, I have been reading these forums ever since I have owned a Stilo (About 2 years now), as we are all quite familiar electrical issues are persistent features with these babies.
Anyway more to the point, my Airbag Failure warning light has come back on once again and my stilo is up for MOT.
Ironically this happened at exactly the same time last year, just before my MOT was due (I think she hates me). Last year I fixed it by getting it scanned by an on-site engineer and he gave me the codes, and I went about cleaning the contacts, luckily enough this fixed my issue.
Subsequently afterwards expecting things like these to happen again I bought myself a Vag-com adapter and got Multiecuscan on my laptop.
I have read my codes and as far as I can make out its the Rear side airbags causing the problem.
The drivers side gives me an Open Circuit error with a value count of 15.
The Passengers side gives me an Intermittent error with a value count of 150-160 ( varies each time I delete the codes and rescan).
Now I have opened my boot and pulled the orange connectors out and given them a clean with contact cleaner and felt up and down the wires for any noticeable breaks or anything out of the ordinary.
This has not worked.
I'm hoping you guys on here can give me some input to what my next step should be, cut the connectors and solder the wires?
Also I'm not sure wether this is of any relevance, but my Car battery seems to be draining oddly fast, which would point to a bad ground, which would link to an open circuit error coming from the Airbags? Or am I just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 64?

Also i am terribly sorry for creating another airbag thread, but I have searched the forums and google, and all these problems tend to be subjective to different seats, different codes, models and people. So before making any hasty decisions I was hoping to get a little feedback and educating myself.

Cheers in advance!

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

The side airbag connectors are under the front of the rear seats, not in the boot. The connectors in the boot are for the window (curtain) airbags.
