HI! Is there someone that kan tell my, if it is possible to aftermount a Cruise control in my dynamic 1.8 Hatchback? I think that the cruiser in someway must cooperate with the computersystem in the car. Can anyone suggest a suitebly cruiser? Bosch? Something else? I hope that somone know somting about this because my dealer, and his workshop dont!?

Of course you can and for the reason you have Dynamic the most parts are inside your car.The best cruise control is always the one that comes from factory else you will see many problems.

In the UK I have been advised that it is illegal to fit an aftermarket cruise control kit which is why you dont see them for sale. I would love to be proved wrong as EVERY car should have it as standard, but Italian cars infrequently do as its not "driver". I have had it on many cars and love it, my old man has it on is Corsa SRi and wacks it on at 30 in towns so he can watch the road and not his speedo, therefore making him more aware - sensible old coffer.

So please prove me wrong and the cash will come out!

A used to know a person who did it. But hes moved to australia now. He used to build stretch limos for a job, and was good at it to..
He had a special licence and this did not invalidate warranty on the cars. But it was a while ago. Have a look about on the net you never know? but get it dont right, at the end of the day it controls you accerator

How cruise control works in manual gearbox?if i want to go with 120klm and the car cant acc so much what happens?is there a warning?

On a manual car there is generally a suction unit that works off a setting within the engine program (controlled by the ABS sensors beelive it or not!) This then has a cable that goes to the throttle and alters the setting accordingly, you can actually feel the throttle peddle move!

On newer cars it is done completely electronically if the car has a throttle potentiometer.

It wont change gear for you obviously so you may find it only works in 4th or 5th or above a certain speed. I think my old mans Corsa wont go below 26mph on cruise.

My Jag XJR-S was supeb with the cruise control as it used to let the car drop up to 8 mph below the cruise speed then boot it back up on occasion - now with 360BHP this only took a nadgosecond, frightening the crap out of all and sundry including yours truly!
