Hello !

As I bought my fiat stilo, the PO had broken the gaiter clip and now the leather is just flopping around, which I find very annoying.

What I want to do is make a model of the thing and then 3d print it. And I would of course release the model should anyone need one.

Problem being, I have no idea what it looks like, the only remaining piece that I found is a remnant broken off piece that's too small to be usable.

Perhaps somebody has pictures, or would be able to take pictures of it with a ruler placed next to it ?

Thanks !

Mine had done exactly the same. The handbrake gaiter and clip are supplied together by Fiat (part no. 735297561) so I bought the whole thing from my dealer for about £15.

They do break easily, so I'm loathe to take mine off to photograph it!

Mine has also broken but its all there still, if someone can advise how it comes off then you can have it, ill buy a new one from you when you have replicated it

Sorry to resurrect this but I have the same issue, and on following this thread it seems the answer is a new Fiat part no. 735297561. Which is all do-able, but in my case the leatherette is in good condition, and it's only the thin plastic surround that is broken.

Consequently, does anyone know is it possible to just buy the thin plastic surround that I can fit my Gaiter onto which should cost £2.50, rather than the £25 for the whole thing ?

So, no easy answer to that one.

Okay then, alternatively has anyone tried gluing their handbrake surround down ?. Seems to me that some black silicone would hold it all in place, and I suspect that the only reason mine was disturbed/broken was that a previous owner thought he could back off the Handbrake cables under there.

If mine was a permanent fit I don't think that I would ever need to get it off again.

Yep that would work if there was a local Scrappy, which of course there isn't (for me), and I don't really want to buy blind and trust it would be in good order.

I did find an eBay seller who was selling the gaiter complete with the surround, but they wanted £25 for just the plastic frame

Still thinking on the gluing theme, noting that black silicone is more than good enough to hold fish tanks together, so it should keep a Stilo handbrake gaiter in one piece :D
