Ragazzi,

One of my centre console bulbs has gone and I need to prise "something" off to change it... hopefully without breaking the plastics.

How do I get the panel off to swap the bulbs?

My beast has the 3 big knobs (temperature, fan-speed and air-direction) with what looks like a big "ashtray" (but what is actually just a blank plastic panel) beneath it.

The offending bulb is the one behind the temperature knob.

Use that guide as well as the guide vladof wrote in the second page of the comments on the guide. I used both of those and was able to replace the bulbs with no problem. I found that it was not necessary to remove the screws above and below the unit when simply changing bulbs. Just unclip the plastic clips at the top and bottom of the front panel. They are R286 bulbs (or just 286) in the shop. £2 in halfords or £2 for 10 on eBay.
