There's a layer of steel unrolling from my rear silencer and even if it makes the MOT in March, I'll need a new one sooner or later. So I was thinking of putting a fancy one in. The 1.4 doesn't lend itself to easy sourcing of performance exhaust parts though (maybe because it has the Punto 1.4 engine).

It looks like a straightforward system mind you (see attached pic).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to run it/what to put on the end/things I should really avoid?

Cheers

Ive got the 1.2 and have a 2" spotex rear box on

What I ive done is used the original pipe off the standard back box and welded it to the sportex box so it still fits. I bought a second hand one for cheap but mine is as loud as a straight thru as I decided to take the sound proofing out and baffles to get it burbble and pop slightly but the sportex are shorter boxes the the standard stilo so you might need to add a little extra pipe to fit it

Where abouts you from buddy im in stoke one trent staffs

I'm down in Kent, mate.

Thanks for the advice... I've got a mate (actual mechanic) who said he could build me one up, but I'm doing my own research too - this will be handy for me to take back to him.

I'm also thinking about taking out the middle silencer (see pic above)... does your 1.2 have one of those?

Yes mate but with just the back box hollow it sounds propper loud and can hear me coming before you see me
