Ok so I'm a big fiat fan, most off you know that.... If not hello I'm martin and I love my fiats ;-) anyway I don't know if this has been done but I for one am very interested and technical minded when it comes to my car...

Anyway this is for all the fiat stilo owners to show fiats are as reliable as any car so let's show everyone.

This post is basically for fiat stilo members to post there highest mileage in there stilo and what type of care they have done to keep it road worth.

So since I'm the one to start the post I suppose I will be the first.

My fiat stilo is a 2004 model 1.4 16v, I've owned her for two weeks and have done the following work

Wishbones on both sides,
Droplinks on both sides,
Rear bushes,
Timing belt,
Waterpump

My car now stands at 94,000 miles but requires more work. Bad example I know but its a start. I also expect to still have her in 5 years time so I hope she will reach 160,000 miles.

124k is not bad but should have plenty life in her yet. How much if you don't mind me asking. Just my insurance has valued my stilo at 795 which I was alittle shocked. Considering fiats don't keep there value.

My insurance company put a value of £1500 on my MW, but I value it at around £400 in its current state lol

I got 126700 miles, just had new engine and clutch! But the poor thing has been battered by the previous owners. I got a for a bargain so spent about £400 getting it mechanically sweet, then the cam belt snapped...

Well mine seems low from what ive read  I have 91k just over and its a 52 reg 2002 model 1.2 and it cost me £400 to buy last year

Mine is an 04 with 35k. Clutch is sticking and needs attention .Brake pads due in 5k or sooner. Had it a few weeks , so kinda too soon to notice much else.

Oh wiper blades have scratched the windscreen. No biggie but I'll sort it eventually.

Keep them coming.. we have to prove they are what fiat intended them too be.. if I remember right they were suppose to be fiats first try to make a car that was and is just as reliable as a golf.

Mines 06 with 94k - looks like ive got a long life left in it hehe

It was certainly STYLED / marketed as a "Golf-alike"

however it was the TEMPRA that was FIAT's big attempt at a mega-mile vehicle,

BUT of course very few were sold in the UK so the attempt was wasted,
they ARE still a great used car.. most do 150 / 200 k easily

basically FIAT hired the fella who designed the PUG405 ( that had actually stopped PUG going bankrupt) to design a worthy 1.6 / 2.0 REP-Mobile,
the Tempra was that vehicle.

has some cool features too..
LED dash and full Climate(y)
the estate had an aerofoil that stopped road spray covering the tailgate glass:cool:
