Hi Davern

Thank you for so much that its a great help ill let you know how i get on i hope its just the fuse and nothing more serious the manual is a big help too thanks again

Pete.........

Hi Again

Well Ive Found The Fuse And it Was Ok Tested for a Circuit there And it Was Getting Power Ok, now my windows are working ok but i did have a problem with the drivers window when i first got the car and ive replaced the motor and mechanism plate now this is the only time ive done anything to the door but when i changed it all i used the Ecu on the "plate" im Now Thinking Its Either That Or Micro-switch In The door Lock Thats At Fault A Clue Is That Just Before It Went Wrong The Led In The door Stopped Flashing When I Locked It With The Key, another time it started flashing but slowly faded out as though the battery was dying but its at full strength im thinking on the lines its the Door ECU I Stupidly Threw The Original Thinking I Did,nt Need It Any Ideas On This Guys

I Do Have A Multimeter To Check Circuits

Try cleaning the large round connectors that go between the front doors and the A pillars.

Lift the grey locking clip then disconnect the connector and clean the contacts in both parts with electrical contact cleaner (not WD40).

Hi Davren

Thanks for that ill get some electrical cleaner and try that hopefully it might work but as it goes i had this all apart when i replaced the window mechanism as all the door loom had to come out to get the plate off because its all threaded through it last night i kept locking and unlocking the drivers door and the led flashed momentarily once or twice the central locking is not even working from the drivers door switch inside the car although the windows are working normally and even since ive replaced the window its been working ok but now it just decided it just not going to work for some reason ive located a another ecu locally but ill try this first

ill let you know how i get on

Pete.....

Hi There

Got Some Electrical Contact Cleaner Cleaned The Round Plug behind The Door Also The Plugs That Go into The Drivers Door Module Still Nothing Could It Be The Module Does This Control The Central Locking As Well As The Windows As I Could Get One Tomorrow Or Could It Be A Problem in The Door Lock itself Where Do I Go From There

Hi Again

Ive Replaced The Module And Still The Central Locking Is Not Working The Led Flashes In The Door Now And The Windows Roll Up when I Keep The Key Turned Like They Should But Still No Central Locking I removed The Plate And The Door glass To Get To The Connection On The Lock Itself Cleaned That Still Nothing I Then Went Back To The Fuse Removed That And Checked For Power There, And It Was Ok Tried A New Fuse Still Did,nt Work

One Thing I did find Out Was That The Central Locking Fuse Does Not Affect the Operation of the Windows Because They Still Work Without The Fuse In Place

Anyway i Dont Know what To Try Next

By The Way Is There A Relay Any Where That Operates The Central Locking Just A Thought

Any Idea,s

There's no need to double post. ;) Many of us, including me, were at the Brooklands event yesterday, so could not answer your post then.

I will get the wiring diagrams from the eLEARN workshop manual for you when I have time, alternatively, you could download the manual yourself from the forum downloads section here: https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?categoryid=3

Instructions:

  1. Download all 6 parts of the manual into the same folder.
  2. Point WinRar (or similar) at part 1. This will unzip all 6 parts to an image file named "Stilo eLEARN.iso".
  3. Use Imgburn (or similar) to create a CD from the image file.
  4. Install the eLEARN interface from the CD. This will create an eLEARN icon on the desktop.
  5. Start the program by double clicking the eLEARN icon. The CD must be in the drive whenever you use the program.
.

Ok sorry about the double post got a bit desperate yesterday i did,nt realise it either , Anyway ive had to install winrar on my machine to get this ill let you know how i get on

thanks again for all your help so far Davren
Regards

Hi Again Davren

Well ive tried to download and open the workshop manual files but its just not happening for me even with winrar installed anyway ive decided to wait until you can find me a wiring diagram i can study hope you all had a great day yesterday at Brooklands wish i could have gone

Pete.........

Below is the information and wiring diagram from the eLEARN workshop manual. It's for cars without Passive Entry. Not many UK registered Stilos were fitted with PE.

There's also a wiring colour code list, but often the colour code letters marked on the wiring diagrams are wrong.

If you still want to install the eLearn manual, let me know how far you got with it.

Hi There Davren

Thank You For The Circuit Diagram Through That Ive Now Found The Fault and Fixed The Issue :D It Was Fuse No 32 In The Dashboard fusebox that Was Causing The Problem All Along but i couldn't of found it without your help thanks again

I now need to try and get the remote reprogrammed if i can it was like it when i got the car but i think i might need a locksmith to sort that one and i do have the original key fob

I do have one more problem its the glow plug failure light keeps coming on but i think ill cover that one in another thread

Thanks to everyone here This is sure A Great and helpful forum (y)

Kind Regards
Pete.....

Hi Again

Going back to the manual i got as far as downloading all the parts including Elearn i then installed win rar and put all the parts into a folder then tried to open it i just got a load of how can i put it gobbledegook i did,nt use a disc i tried to do it all through my pc but it just did,nt work so i gave up on it

Pity as i would think its got a lot of information on there

Pete.....

When you've downloaded the 6 parts, they should together in a folder, as shown below. If you've installed WinRar, you then right click on part 1 and you should see the WinRar window. Click on "Extract Here" and the "Stilo eLEARN.iso" image file should be added to the list of 6 files. As it's an image file, you don't burn it to disc, but you have to use ImgBurn (or similar) to create a CD from the image.

Thank You Davren ill give that a go ....

I see there is a little confusion as you said in the handbook and in the wiring diagram with the fuse position of the central locking it says f36 in the handbook but in the wiring diagram it says f32 the wiring diagram was right and i went straight to the problem i did,nt look at all the fuses when i first checked as i could,nt get them out as there is no little fuse tool but as well as having a multimeter ive got myself a little test light that found the duff fuse after looking at the diagram

Any Way Its All Sorted Now :D
