Is there a dedicated fuse for the rear number plate lights and if so what is the fuse number. Or is it fed from another source?

After spending a great deal of time removing the rusted in screws used on the lenses it was only to find that both bulbs are serviceable albeit of some age. Is this another case of the Canbus not liking old bulbs?

Problem resolved. I had a second go at fixing the fault in the failing light instead of bright sunshine and noticed that the nearside lower sidelight was not lit. I gave it a sharp rap and it came on as did the two number plate bulbs - 'go figure' as the 'Merkins would say!

Footnote:
'Merkins - T'was the way George Dubya pronounced Americans.

Hi there,

Both of the rear number plate lamps on my 56 Stilo have failed. I have changed both the bulbs (after drilling out the usual rusted screws) and pushed in the holders with the new bulbs. Still no lights on either side.

Back to the original query above, is there a specific fuse for these lamps. I assume there must be as there is a specific warning from the CANBUS.

Any suggestions or help would be gratefully received as this is the only thing stopping it passing another MOT.
