Hi,

I'm Justin from Lithuania and I want to present my resent project

First of all, I already owned 4 Stilos and more than 100 other cars.
My first Stilo (project car) was two doors black Fiat Stilo Abarth 2.4 2001. It was really great car, with direct injection LPG system so not only powerfull (it is never enought, but... :D ) but also economical :) Only 10.5l/100km in senior mode and 13l/100 km of LPG with usual heavy leg. Engine runs great on LPG, even reaches top speed written in user manual on LPG.
But... Selespeed gearbox is full of ....
Second was fourdoor 85kw JTD. I was really surprised by it's torque (maybe it was remapped). But I had it for a short time, as i didn't planed to own it.
Third one and unlucky again was 2.4l two door blue Abarth. Leather interior, alcantara ceiling, new suspension etc. Bought it for my girlfriend, couse she really liked my first one, changed and repainted front fenders, old ones had some rust spots. Also repainted front bumper and few days before going to MOT service it has been totaly wrecked by one idiot with other car.
Fourth was two door 85kw JTD with leather interior, but it didn't surprised with it's torque. So again I had ir for a short time, as i didn't planed to own it.

And everything leads to fact, that I can't find a better car for 2k EUR with at least 120kw, LPG, cruise control, big screen console and etc. so I decided to hold my first Stilo (usualy car gets boring in one or two months) and change manufacturer's biggest mistake - Selespeed gearbox.

Plans
1. Lowered suspension (front kw inox V1 coilovers with FK springs, rear FK AKX dampers, missing shorter rear springs with adjusting plates. suspension still unassebled)
2. 18x9 wheels (done)
3. 2.75" Magna Flow straight exhaust (still needs to be welded)
4. Leather interior with alcantara ceilings (done)
5. Swapped C530 Selespeed gearbox to C530 6 gear manual (done)
6. can't take my minds from mad plan to boost it with turbo :D but haven't decided yet

First day

And as usualy, shoemaker without shoes :D Bought myself car with problem, full interior disassembled because of coolant pipe break rigth after a firewall. Two days of work and work is done.

New FK dampers. Only after receiving them, I realized that Abarth has wider hub so front dampers won't fit :D

Kawasaki cafe racer project is still waiting for it's time, and Stilo ran into garage for some work. 2.4l 5cil. engine sounds great, but Selespeed gearbox really sucks :/

Hats off to you for the work done...but why didn't you buy a manual in the first place and save yourself the heartache?

Because I could buy 3 abarth's like my for one Shumacher Stilo's with manual box price :) I could, but I haven't seen one in Lithuania with manual gearbox. :D also, i I remember right, schumachers go with 5gear box, not 6gear
