Hi All,

I am new to the forum and this is my first thread that I have posted.

I have seen a lovely looking Abarth Stilo Schumacher GP No 17 listed on eBay are these cars as good as they say and what should I look for to be sure not to get stung.

I also drive a Doblo Cargo that I love to bits, such a useful van.

I'm no expert and there are experts on here but I've had a GP numerically close to this since 2010 and it's never missed a beat. Basically a very reliable daily driver since my Tipo rusted to pieces. Clutch fluid seems to collect air if its left alone for long periods buts that's all. Touchwood. ;) Never too sure about ebay listings with private bids.

Quite a few 2.4 stilos have had bottom end failure at relatively low mileage (less than 100k), so you'd need to listen for knocking when cold. If possible you should check oil pressure. Some seem bullet proof others other just go it seems. Can anyone shed any light on what the issue is there and how to prevent it?

Suspension components can be expensive as some of them are specific to the Schumacher.

I saw a Schumacher GP that went on eBay for £600 a few weeks ago :-o

Hi,

Thanks to you both, I have seen two Schumacher's on Auto Trader but they are not GP's, they are a lot more money and much higher limited numbers neither do they look anywhere near as bright as this one.

I am really taken by the look of this car and with it being so individual so I suppose your advice is to pay few quid to have an AA inspection? thanks again and keep the advice coming.

Has anyone got a lower number than this one?

WOW that's fantastic, it looks like this could be the car for me!

Does anyone know how many GP's are still on the road?

This forum rocks.

Thanks.

That's fantastic, so there are 115 Schumacher's remaining in total and just 104 on the road, can anyone say how many GP's there were from new and how many GP's remain please? All help is really appreciated on this subject many thanks.

2017 Q1: 75 taxed, 36 Sorn.
I have GP, No. 42, taxed & was running well but now requires slave cylinder. Going ahead with the repair.
