Hi,

The computer displayed this error message (in french) : "Panne moteur" (Engine Problem).

Then the engine stop !! And after restart, only message was displayed.

Fiat said that it's a bug in computer and they can not resolved.

So they stopped some functionnalities in the computer in order to not have again this problem (like speed controler or automatic radio off).

Any problem and solution ?

There may be a fix.
There is software upgrade. from 8.7. to 9.3.
Get them to do it, there should be no charge for this.

Met. Blue. all Electric. Skywindow..SatNav+

Rear Parking sensor and Puddle Lights.

It is more likely that you have a problem somewhere in your ECU. Instead of switching things off, get your dealer to order a new one!!

I don't know how many times that this needs to be said, but the SatNav system software upgrade has absolutely no connection whatsoever with the engine electronics....[V]

What do u mean by ECU ?
But i am agree that there is no connection with software upgrave of SatNav because i don't have.(Stilo Dynamic)

The ECU is the Engine Control Unit. It's the main computer for engine management in the car. I don't what the equivilent French term is...

Point noted,
although some drivers say they feel the engine has been more responsive after the upgrade?
Might be unrelated but is there any connection.
Perhaps the dealer does something else at the same time.

To the best of my knowledge (and I've now spent a total time of 1 calendar month at a Fiat dealer....), the software upgrade is purely for the Nav+ console and nothing is done that would affect the ECU/engine.

I suspect it's psychological.
