I was stupid I know but while adjusting to lower the beam one of the adjustors seems to snap inside. Is it repairable if I open the whole unit?

I can get secondhand original lamps but it is from a 2002 Stilo. I don't know yet what the model is.
I cant figure out how to use ePer, so can I replace 2002 headlamp unit to a 2005 192 diesel?
Thanks for your help.

Because of its non-solid construction, it's very common for the inner adjuster to break. I've un-avoidably broken a few.

I was investigating replacing broken adjuster screws on some spare headlamps a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, because of the oversized ball on the inner end of the screw, it can only be removed from inside the headlamp casing. This would mean finding a way to remove the clear front cover and then the reflector. The front cover appears to be plastic welded to the headlamp's black plastic casing.

The adjuster screws are not available separately; I was contemplating making metal ones.

A 2002 headlamp will fit a 2005 car, however, bear in mind that Stilo headlamps are a slightly different shape for 3 and 5 door models. Also, some have the fog lamp and some don't. There was also a change in the design of the indicator light. Early headlamps had an orange lens with a white bulb, whereas later ones had a white lens with an orange bulb.

Thank you Davren, great help, always a volume of good information.
And yes same screw showed in your pic broke in the inside. I guess I can pry it apart and see the inner workings.
The donor units he claims are from a 192 Diesel which is what I have got. That would depict the MW? Well he states a 5 door which could either be a hatch or MW.
There are no color variations, according to the photos. Will post the link here if I can but it is all in German.

Obviously I have a LHD car and the current LH unit is not an original and the mechanic was not too impressed. Now none of the motors work after he got to replace the one. I would not have needed to self adjust if the motors did work.
Lesson learnt...will not use him again.

My work friend will do it for me, while I help, but what is the best way to remove the headlamp units?
While we are doing this I need to replace the front LH shock absorber...spring is shot.
He does seem to know what to do but I want to make sure, as the previous guy said the the shock must be removed to replace the headlamp unit.

You have to take the front bumper off to get to the headlamp mounting screws. You do not need to remove the shock absorber to remove the headlamp.

Be careful removing the 2 mounting nuts at the bottom of the headlamp. If they are rusty, it's easy to break the studs that screw into the plastic front panel.
