Hello all,

My stilo active sport bangs when going over a hole or very uneven surface.
I'm sure it's not shocker, and last time I looked the springs were good.
I'm told by a mechanic it may be the rubber the spring sits on. (presumably there is a rubber above the spring too.)
It has been making the noise since I had the car 5 years ago, I always thought it was a deformed bush, causing metal to metal under load.
The left side the mechanic says is the culprit. He says about £40 parts per side.

Any one had the same trouble and what was the fix.

is it from front or rear suspension.

Could have sworn I put rear....what a silly old duffer I am today.

Most likely one of the rear suspension bushes. There's a replacement guide here:
