Hello
Strange problem this one!
Had the front shocks changed under warranty 2 months ago. Noticed soon after that the waste water (condensate?) from the air con seemed to exit just under the drivers door instead of under the engine. Thought no more of it for a while, thought I'd mention it at next service. Today the car was totally dead, battery flat. Nice AA man came and said nothng wrong with battery or Alternator and no power drain from anywhere "but whats that water from under your door?" Closer inspection showed the floor pan inside the cabin (under the rubber mats) was totally drenched. Said AA man thinks during repairs the air con pipe has been trapped / kinked forcing the water to overflow into the cabin and not outside under the engine. End result electrical short drained the battery. Anyway nice AA man put car up on a jack, looked underneath and could not find said drain pipe from the Air con! Any way - before I take it back to Fiat - anyone know where it should exit the car?
Thanks

Yes, thats what I and the AA chap thought - except it didn't appear to be there anymore!
The cars going to the dealer tomorrow to be fixed so will be interesting to see what transpires.

Are you sure that it is the aircon pipe?

We had that diagnosed as a fault when we found our carpets soaking wet inside. Apparently they sorted the problem and replaced the carpets. All was good for a few weeks and the the same thing happened but twice as bad (you needed wellies to drive the car).

Now, it turns out that it is the heater matrix that needs replacing.

Hope yours is something simple to rectify, as my car is with the garage till mid October.

I have had problems with the climate contral pipe being blocked and this caused the driver's side to flood.

The pipe is situated behind the panel by the side of your left leg. If you remove the panel you will see some insulation material below an air duct, it is a brown material in my car. Remove the insulation and you will see a black rubber pipe going downwards from the heater/climate control box. That's the overflow.

On my car there is something floating around in the box above the pipe which from time to time blocks the hole; I push something up the hole to clear it.

I have the exact same problem. Has anyone disassembled the box to see what is inside?

I stuck a hairpin up the plastic pipe and it was enough. Now it will stay in the plastic pipe and hopefully prevent future clog.

Probably it's just a clump of dust and hair, but if it's something harder it shouldn't clog anymore.
