(T) Milage Resetting

I have had my little Stilo 2 weeks and the Milo keeps resetting when I get to 300 Miles, Has anyone else had this problem.

I also have a rattle like a loose screw coming from around the dash board.

Any suggestions.

This morning I have now only done 17 Miles not bac considering The garage I picked it up from is 35 miles from home!

What is it resetting to? Are you looking at the milometer or do you have it in Trip mode when this happens? Have you asked your dealer about both issues?

Nope its not in trip mode, the dealership is not open until Monday but will be on the phone first thing.

In two weeks I have only done 17 miles when I know I have done about 600. It get to about 350 then goes back to zero.

2003 Silver 3-Door Abarth

I am finding all different things with car now, I dont have the 12volt socket in the Boot, (a bit of a sod really for cooling down the wine) yes I could use the Cool Glove compartment but the size of bottles I drink well they just dont fit.
The rattling in the front is still confusing me but no doubt it will be something simple.

As I have the Car on a Motablity contract I really do need to sort the ,mileage thingy out as how do I explain in ayears time I have only done under 300 Miles!

Now I'm frightened. The Stilo I just purchased only had 250 miles on the clock. I hope mine isn't suffering from the same problem! [:0]

I have just phoned the dealership.. and apart from being told reset is the trip counter! Aghh, I know I am blonde but I can tell the difference between the two.

They will have it in the workshop and have look but no appointments until Thursday week.[:(!]

I am now thinking the after purchase servie is crap!

i heard that there is a delivery setting on the computer in some cars
so when they test the car and drive the car to the dealership it
dosn't show a lot of miles and when the dealership take delivery they turn it off.

did they forget too turn it off/

A delivery setting? Sounds a bit sneaky to me. Would be interested to know if such a thing really exists. Anyone with a workshop CD shed any light on this?
