I have just been trying to get my headlight aim sorted. Weirdly it was fine before I took the lights out and fitted new bulbs but now the left hand light is really low. I have adjusted it quite a bit.... think I was doing it right 8 mm socket onto the white plastic screw bits on the back of the headlight. But the passenger side I'd too high. Am I doing it right?

Thanks

Robin

basically, I put the headlights back in, but one headlight is pointing down and one headlight looks correct, is there a way for correcting them or do I need to buy new headlight motors as the headlight motors have never worked?

thanks

robin

if it was fine before hand check you have seated the bulb correctly, you can see it from the outside looking into the lense (with lights off obviously). The bulb should be flush with the lense housing, if its not you need to refit the bulb. This mistake is very easy done with the limited room in that area.

deffo seated correctly Roy, I took the headlights out to replace all the bulbs, will double check though, so the screw bits do they just angle the light left and right not up and down?

As I said the outer one - difficult to see and get to does the up and down

Yes i can get to the outer one, on the drivers side, i used a shallow ratchet and a 8mm socket, but it didn't seem to do much, i am going to get new headlight motors and take it all apart again in a few weeks, and replace the headlight motors and make sure everything is 100%

Sounds like you havnt got them sat in correcly , i know when i did mine in situ and changing the bulbs in the jtd is hard :p

i got the bulb sat in wrong and the clip on and it gave v poor beam pattern , o just make sure its sat in right , (Y)

will do, gonna pull apart again, as I was away in Belgium the last few days my wife has been using the stilo (had her car for the long trip) and somehow she has broken my hooter lol so I need to pull it apart to fix that anyway lol
