Technical Steering wheel CN+ buttons not working

Have strange problem which you probably can't help with but thought I would tell you all anyway....

the steering wheel CN+ buttons (all of them) only work intermittently.

sometimes switching off and back on again works.
banging steering wheel in frustration does nothing!
even tried the somewhat dubious 'close the door 120 times' trick. - no good

However, I now have a fix!
beleive it or not when the buttons aren't working I can get them back by stroking the Fiat badge in the centre of the wheel !

I know it sounds stupid but it works

Guess it's one for the dealer next time I am there.....

Well I treated the car to a nice shiny new CD changer last night so it should be happy now......
