On top of that, if you paid that sort of money (I know you didn't) that's pocket PC + gps receiver price so if you don't already have sat nav through connect then it would make more sense (IMO) to buy a PDA and load it up with the POI softwasre and voila, sat nav and speed camera software.

Matt, this what I this info on a couple of websites, what you think???

Right the only difference i can see from them to mine is, they use light and beeps to tell you stuff, mine talks and actually has a screen that tells you what speed you should be doing, plus it constantly shows how fast you are going on the display. So in effect i guess they do the same thing

Micro RoadPilot

I purchased a Micro RoadPilot from the MotorShow Live, last year at the NEC.
It was expensive at the time, but I think a worthwhile investment in my opinion.

I had it installed in my Punto (until last week) and what makes it really unique, is the fact that the database downloads via USB, but the device is also firmware upgradeable. They have put in nice touches over the year I have had it, including giving details of the type of camera you area approaching, so you know what to watch out for. The versions have gone from 1.4 (at purchase) to 2.0 only two weeks ago, and revisions are made at least every month.

My Dad has one of those cheap ones, with flashing lights! Completely pointless in my opinion. :bang: This details your speed all the time and when you approach a camera it compares your speed with the road (camera) speed and warns you with bleeps (and flashes at night) when you are over the limited. Perfect and the database is constantly updated.

The size is also important, and the fact it is so discreet means you hardly notice it. Now... when my Abarth lands, where to place it in the cockpit? (y)
