Hi! Some time ago I took my car for a full check up to prepare it for winter. They put some coolant with a freezing point of -50 °C. The thing is that I need to top it up and I ask them which one they put, but the answer was that I could put any brand as long as it is green or green-blue.

First thing: Is it true that those kinds of coolant are the proper for my car?

Second: I've found coolant that only resist -35 or -40 tops, so if I mix them I'm going to mess with this index. So can I just mix them as long as they are the same colour? Or should I insist and try to find the exact one they put in there?

I have also the Webasto heater system and the block heater so I need to have good quality coolant fluid.

My car is a 2003 Stilo JTD Hatch.

Thanks and greetings!

I also needed to top up the antifreeze after thermostat replacement and was looking for the Paraflu green which is ethylene glycol but ended up using Paraflu OAT (red) which, after a lot of research, I discovered is OK to mix with the green/blue without detrimental effects.
