I have been to 3 garages today checking on service costs and they range from £313.24 to £269.54. This is for the 24000 mile one. It is a 1.9 JTD and has air con as well as this effects the price so they tell me.
Could you just tell me whether this is a fair price to pay for this service.

any info would be appreciated,
Thanks

£270.00 sounds ok for 24k on a JTD, and aircon adds 0.4 to the labour time- this is for fitting a pollen filter.

Different dealers charge differently as there 'Dealer' running costs differ from dealer to dealer.

Just been through this for my 12k JTD service. I did a thread on it but basically prices ranged form £160 (GMD Durham) to £263 (Autoworld Sheffield).
Finally I took it to Wakefield Diesel Centre. They did it for £120 and used genuine Fiat parts.

I paid £ 260.00 at Fiat Slough.
They have told me it is gone up to £360 from now on.
This is the 2nd year service or 24K for a 1.8.

Very expensive indeed. :D

I've been quoted "around £300" for a 36K service on my 1.8 at JCS Kegworth. Not sure what it includes exactly but will check it out beforehand (in 2.5K miles). I'll miss not using Reg Vardy Leicester as you get your engine cover & battery box covers broken there absolutley free of charge and they didn't reset the service indicator! How I love good customer service!

Just been quoted £280 for 3rd year service on the Abarth?! Booked in now anyway, including 'free' courtesy car....

Just dug out my invoice, Stu. I paid £290 for my 36k service at Fiat-Worcester about a month ago, so that sounds about right :) . I had a free courtesy car also (as this service centre is about 30 miles away from my home...).

No StiloJoe you dont have to worry, if you let the reception know then they can tell tech and he will make a decision as to wether he can safely check the spare wheel for you without causing damage to your gear. To be honest most techs will avoid moving any expensive looking equipment in the car for fear of being accused of damaging it.
