....Hi All
i have read a lot posts in regards to the Syncromesh in Stilo's but i can't find someone with a similar fault. i have a 04 plate Stilo, 108k on clock, MK2 model.
It crunches into 2nd. IF i Change slowly and smoothly , it won't crunch, and double declutching works fine, But downshifting is the one i haven't mastered yet.
But here is the deal. It goes into 2nd just fine, i have no other issues finding any of the other gears and not once has it popped out of 2nd or any other gear for that matter.
due to work locality i have done 615 miles in it since i bought it and the end of May 2013 and it was crunching when i bought it, hence why i knocked the buyer down to £700
is it worth getting it checked? i've read recon boxes fitted are around £300+ and as i will be lucky to do more than 2-3k in it for the year, i am debating doing it. i have had it serviced, all new pads and discs, new flexi pipe and suspension coils springs, so have spent a bit already.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
Rich
