Hi

I've only just got a 2003 Stilo 1.6 Active AC Multiwagon with 50,000 mile for a very very good price, but as soon as i started driving the it started telling me it needs a service.

I have all the MOTs from the start and some service documents but i don't have the service book.

What should i expect to be done on a 50K model? is it just a standard service? or is there anything i should be aware of?

Thanks

You be near enough at cambelt and tensioner change time as you do not know when last service if was me I would do full service and belt. Then you know all is ok as quite low miles for year of car plus cambelt may never of been changed in all the 10 years

Thanks for the reply.

You probably won't know but any idea a full service with a cambelt and tensioner change would be? Don't want to get ripped off

sorryI have no idea of service costs as I do all servicing on mine myself so only cost is parts, and also own a 1.9 jtd diesel multiwagon so no cost on spark plugs ,only can guess that be a good few hundred pennies if you get the cambelt done aswell which I would certainly recommend if you have no proof from previous owner it has been done, given the low mileage and if you intend keeping car for sometime it be well worth getting it all done at start of ownership so you have less chance of motor letting you down and then know how to plan future servicing..plus if the cambelt is same age as the car certainly needs replacing with tensioner as the cost of repairs should it fail be an expense that you could avoid by getting done with the service,
whoever you get to undertake the service work remember to ask if they have the correct equipment to reset the service indicator on dash as some sytems do not work on the fiat car computer, I use multiscan software to reset mine so maybe someone close to you that has the software that could help on that if it is an issue
