Hello guys. The key fob I received with the car, the guy told me the open door button didn't work. I could hear a rattling so took it apart and found the little button had come off the board. I'm confident to fix it back on with some solder. The question I have is does it matter which way it's fixed back on. It's the very top button at top of board. And the button has the numbers 1 and 5 on it... Which is ment to face the top? Hope that makes sense guys lol. Cheers guys.

Never mind issue resolved. Reattached the button to chip board and ordered a new fob case off eBay. Job done

Good work (y) nice when things can be fixed without spending money, isn't it? I wondered if the Guide which shows you how to repaint the key (in gold) might have had a useful photo.

Meanwhile I learned a new definition of 'chipboard'. I thought that was the flakey stuff cheap furniture was made of, but it's nice to think of a circuit board instead. :)

I did look at the gold fob actually yes. I didn't have a clue how to take the fob apart until I saw the gold fob post.
Saved myself a lot of hassle and money by diy soldering and god bless eBay. £5 for the new fob :beer:
