Hello lads,
While checking for fault codes in our 5 door Stilo 1.6 Active, I noticed a recorded error (and thankfully only one) from the Passengers door BITRON module.

B1019 passenger door locked.

The fault is detected now. Clearing it does nothing, it returns immediately, so I guess it's a true fault of some sensors or wiring.
Has anyone ever heard of such a fault code or has anyone ever come across it ?
I don't have a remote key, it's the standard key locked door. All the doors work by the way flawlessly. The inside controls to open/lock the doors work. The automatic lock above 20 Km/h also works well, never had a glitch with the doors. So I cannot identify any noticeable faulty working except the trouble code in the door module.

I was hoping someone might have came across this and has some help or info on the matter.
Thank you in advance!

Hi, I have the same problem. All lock functions operate normally. Error can not delete. What to do? :-/

Stilo MW 2004

hello autoholik,
I have an update to the situation. The car does seem to produce at least one noticeable symptom that could be accounted for this issue. Thou I'm only suspicious that this error B1019 has to do something with it, I'm not sure.
Sometimes, when locking the doors with the key (I have no remote), what happens is that only that particular door locks itself where I shove in the key. It's as if the central locking mechanism does not function correctly.
This happened while locking both front doors, so it's not just down to one door.
Also, when I unlock/re-lock the doors it's all fine and the central locking works.
Besides this, when the weather gets cold, close to or below 0C, the key barrel sticks when turning just enough to engage the opening of both front windows.
I used some WD40 in the key barrel to no help...it did kind of make it easier to turn the key, but still the issue is there, thou not so often, but present.
It can be that the key barrel is used or worn that much, maybe it has condensation in it that's freezing.
I see that I'll have to take apart the door and check for obvious things, barrel lubrication, door lock sensor and anything suspicious like a faulty wire or short.

When the cold weather around northern Serbia gives, around the next weekend it should be almost nice spring time here, I'll try to take it apart and have a peek. I'll let you know my findings.
Cheers!

I have deleted the error today without any correction. I do not understand it.
Sometimes it unlocks the driver's door (the first time) via remote control, but the error shows on the passenger door, so it's irrelevant.
The lock sometimes remains stuck in the position on the left and opens the windows like in your situation.
