Hi guys, i am facing a small problem with my recently bought C-NAV+, i did not tested this unit completely..phone's working, radio, cd also, different settings to..

But the buttons from the left side have no light from those little leds, leds are not working. So i removed the front grid and i took a look inside.

Some sort of resistor is missing, i don't exactly know what it is, and i am thinking that is the reason for my problem.

So what i am asking, i know it's a little too much, if someone knows what should be there, or have some photos of that side, or...could take a close photo to a higher resolution of his own nav+ plate in order to find out if something is there and mine is gone; and to know what should i buy and solder.

Thank you!
Is a 10-15 min job to get the nav out and unscrew the 8 bolts of the front grid.

Re: Sat Nav + Help

Below is a picture of one of my CN+ switch panel PCBs. Looks as though yours is missing a 100µF 35v electrolytic capacitor.

There also appears to be a section of PCB track missing from
the solder pad for the negative side of the capacitor on your board.

Re: Sat Nav + Help

Check the rest of the PCB carefully with a magnifying glass. Last time I had one with the left side button LEDs not working, it was caused by damage to some of the PCB tracks and a component that had been dislodged. I suspect it was caused by someone trying to lever off the ribbon cable connector with a screwdriver.

Re: Sat Nav + Help

Don't know if it's my (knackered) eyes, or the picture, but does there look to be some discolouration to the pcb, as though there has been some overheating issue?

I solved my issue, thanks to Davren.

I also found the same component as Davren that had been dislodged, a resistor. All fixed now and it's working like a charm.

I don't think here has been some overheating issue, probably my photo quality..
