im thinking ahead now beyond the MOT end of this month. Im starting to think about remapping or tuning boxes. Although im happy with the car, the very fact that you can improve on it even more makes me want to try it.

I have read some posts about remapping, and id like to know a little more. I believe i can buy a Galletto, and plug it in and upload a new map file for performance or economy etc etc, but what I want t know is, what are the limits, what are the gains, what are the downsides?

then, compare that to a tuning box, whats the difference?

Hi Clivvy, I had an italianspeed tuning box then a Celtic Tuning remap old my old Stilo. The tuning box gave a very good increase in power but it all cam in at about 1800 rpm. The remap had a more progressive delivery from about 1500rpm and I would say made a bit more power. Bang for buck the tuning box wins hands down but the remap gave a bit more power with more control but of course cost 3 maybe 4 times as much.

I also had a straight through exhaust and Decat which helped flow the gases.

Why not buy a tune box first and see how you get on with it. Think the one I had was about £70
