lol... i spose the title says it all.

First hot day and i try to use the climate control to turn down the temp and it goes down to 16 and blows out semi warm air....

WTF is that ?

If thats as cold as the aircon gets then i'm really dissapointed because my focus pumped out arctic air in the summer, and the Stilo pumps out tropical heat :D

Am i missing something... is there another button i need to press or do i need to slam the drivers door ten times to make the aircon work ? :D

You say you went down to 16, try turning the knob back once more, then the aircon should come on automatically. Also it always blows hot first for a minute or two then it should start to get cold. (y)

If it needs regassing there must be a leak, probably that same pipe that goes on all the stilos?

I know on my '98 laguna i still get ice cold, it's nice :)

I went to 16 and back once more and it said LOW i think.... but it was still warm air ?

I left it on for at least 10 minutes and it was not cold like my focus was..... i could make that car like a fridge in the summer, it was wonderful. But the stilo was still warm and i the longer it was on the car got no cooler inside...and yep i did have all the windows etc shut :)

Does everyone elses get really cold inside then ?

OK so to run it at its coldest... exactly what should i press ?

I tried the AQS set at allt he different possitions... one drags air from outside, one circulates air from inside and one filters air and circulates it inside... and it made no difference.

When you turn the dial down so the LOW setting comes on it should switch the air con on & set the blower level & circulation automatically.

I would say the climate control in mine has always been crap.

You can easily tell if the air conditoning is running on the climate control of the abarths - when it is on it displays a '*' on the climate control unit (Dont confuse this with the ice warning on the dash!). If you have the unit on full auto the air con will turn on/off automatically. If you have it set to manual you have to turn it on and off manually by pressing the button with the '*' (snowflake) on it. If the snowflake is displayed then the air con compressor should be running - when it is running you will you get a puddle under the car when you park it - if the snowflake is on and you've got warm air and no puddle, then unit is knackered. There is a pipe on the aircon of the stilo that is prone to breakage if you bottom the car, and is very common on cars that are lowered.

Hope this helps koa

Air Con is usually built into the climate control system i believe, or it is on my Dads R.....o......v.....e....r 75, yes the most boring car in the world.

Sorry going off topic here, just use your windows and panaromic sunroof, or buy a mini fan, sorry been stupid, take it to Fiat and there... Fix It Again (Tony)

Thanx for all the replies guys.

I went out to the car again tonight and tried it all out again... it looks as if there must be a problem with it because I had the little snowflake on and the air was still not very cool, it was like it was just circulating the air from outside so it wasn't getting any colder.
Like Bo said, his car was fridge like and thats what i expected when i turned it on today.
I have to pay a visit to the dealer next week to get a few things sorted that i have been putting off, so i'll get them to take a look at it...

Thanx all (y)
