Hi guys,
just done an easy peasy job on the car, my postie knocked on my door about a week ago letting me know the car had decided to move down the road.
i was suspect of the handbrake when i had to adjust it loads a few months ago, and when ever i applied the handbrake the car would still creek and creep. when i jacked the car up the n/s wasnt working. i didnt like the look of the cables and decided to renew the pair.

anyways, looking at fleabay people were charging a fortune for the cables. i looked on euros and they only listed one side at £22.
i decided to ring euros, and they do both sides, and as im a loyal returning customer (owning 2 stilos will do that lol) i got a good discount, bringing the cables down to £13 per side!!!!

the job took me about 2hrs total, the hardest part was pulling my backside out of bed before the rain came.
only one fiddly bit was the metal shielding for the exhaust, there are two clips above that, i managed to release one but the other is now no longer a clip lol.

one thing i noticed with the pattern parts (pagid) was the gromits fit but not as tighly as oems, so i used small cable ties just to keep them in place - at £13 per side i really cannot fault them even with the smaller gromits.

only really one thing to remember, loosen the cable adjuster right off (under the centre consul in the back), and the jobs easy.

the car is now holding nicely on a steep gradient, and is no where near as heavy as it used to be.
if you have the creeking, creeping, or very heavy handbrake i strongly advise to get the cables changes, its a dirty (more dust than oil) but well worth the time.
