HI guys hope someone can help with this.

When driving on a flat surface in a straight line or corner left the car is fine

when either i drive on a bumpy road (any speed)
or
corner to the right(above 40/50 MPH)

I have a loud knocking noise that feels like its coming from the drivers side rear wheel.

This is worse when there is moe people in the car but is very noticable even with just me in.

Anybody got any ideas on what it is? or how to Fix it?

Unfortunately that sounds very familiar. I'm 99% sure you have a badly worn rear axle bush.

The parts are not to expensive, around £50 a pair but installing them is difficult unless you have the right tools.

Hi thats what i suspected i will go and buy these today.

I have a local mechanic who should do it for me any idea how long it would take a mechanic and how much hes likely to charge(ballpark) if i provide the bushes?

Before making up your mind as what to do about the bushes have a read of this thread.

Make sure the mechanic knows what he's doing. Using the correct tools and aligning the bushes correctly is essential.
I'd be suspicious of any quote under £300, anyone quoting this(or less) probabely has no idea how difficult the job is. From my own experience I'd say about 60% of bushes are incorrectly fitted, make sure your not one of them.
