Most days I have my laptop in the boot. Originally both doors and boot were set to open simultuneously from the remote-never had any operating problems. Used the SatNav setup to change setting to "independant boot unlock". Boot now does not open at all - even with the key. Boot unlock button on remote flashes but nowt happens. Reset system to full unlock - still no joy :bang: Just realised - was this unnecessary anyway? I always drive with the doors locked as they either lock automatically above 20kph or I might have used the arm rest button already - would either have locked the boot as well on the original setting?

Booked into Ancasters Catford (where I purchased Stilo) tomorrow to deal with apparent clutch judder - so boot lockup is added to list. Anyone experienced clutch judder on selespeed before? Occurs in auto when accelerating from crawling speed in 2nd eg when not quite stopping on entering a roundabout or in heavy stop/go traffic-more noticeable when under load or up hill.

Oh I was a new face at Brooklands - nice to meet those I met and howdy doody everyone else. :D

Mine(abarth selespeed wotsit)does it(clutch judder)sometimes in the situations you mention I figured it was because the box changes a little early. So I give it a little more gas and it changes a bit later and its ok.
Youll get clutch judder on any manual if you change too early especialy going uphill(when theres more laod)so I reckon the selespeed is the same.BTW it doesnt happen at all in manual because I change later.

I'm sure that u've tried this but don't forget that to be able to open the boot from the remote you have to keep the button pressed for a couple of seconds. (y)

Nice one M8 - boot now unlocks on all settings. Teach me to read the manual properly. (y)

Hmm - interesting. Glad I'm not the only this has happened to. I find that if I lean on the gas more the judders increase. I agree that in manual it's great - I still think it should not occur in auto at any speed. Maybe I'm being too fussy - all cars have their idios and the Stilo is no different. don't get wrong - I luv my Stilo - best car I have had for years. Anyway I delivered my metal friend unto the Lords of Turin this am at Ancasters Catford - presently awaiting news.

Re: Boot Jam/Clutch Judder

Result :D Ancasters have just advised me that they are going fit a new clutch assembly under warranty - parts being ordered. No problems with service here.
