Hi just bought my fiat stilo 2002 1.6 active
and the boot is not unlocking by the keyfob/central locking remote
only way i have managed to open the boot is by the key ?

i have checked all fuses and seem to be fine can anyone help me

You are pressing and holding for a few seconds, With mine i hold and press the button until you hear it whirr then its open.

Try that and see if it makes any difference.

You can switch off individual boot release using the menu buttons to the right of the steering column.

Then when you unlock the car with the button all doors and boot will unlock.

Right just tried it out first thing i did was check in menu that the individual boot release was switched to "off"

Still no luck even when i tried holding down the boot button ?

any other ideas ??

Sounds like the electronic latch has failed, or a fuse/relay related to it has failed. I'd make the fusebox your first port of call, if you've got a manual you'll find the right fuse.

:yeahthat: individual boot menu has nothing to do with the remote, only the tailgate release switch on the Handle.

Also the tailgate release switch doesn't work with the individual boot menu switched to OFF

I'd have said so. Check it's not been disconnected, sometimes they do that if the micro switch becomes faulty and keeps opening the boot (even though it can be deactivated through the dash).

Found a cable loose inside the boot door which i have no idea where it goes to as there is no empty connects

Second picture just shows the there is a cable going to the boot latch

I have the same problem what fused did you check ? and does anyone know which relay to check ?
