Technical Changing from Manual AC to Climate Control

:D:D Best of luck with this, had to chuckle to myself at the upside down head in footwell bit.

cainy1989 Ouch that doesn't sound too good. I know on the stilo there's a plastic cover just by the footwell why did they put a metal one on the bravo I don't know. I wish you good luck though (and good weather, cause now it is actually pouring buckets in Mid-Wales).
Morty Haha, already did that, took the wheels off that is, so I'm on to a good start then.

Anyone knows where all the actuators are situated? I cannot find something decent in eLearn.

think the metal section is part of the support for the dash, it seems to stick out more than the stilo one, will tray and post some pics, i know you can reach the windscreen demist one if you bend your elbow 360 degrees behind you and swear a bit, Mortys post is pretty good for giving you the rough location of em, thats what I used to work out what two motors where buggered, was that and I played follow the whirr whirr whirr from the motors :D

I have some bad news. I might have to abandon this project, for the time being at least as time is limited being assigned to a new project in work. I already spent 2 days changing the whole interior trims to leather including retrofitting rear electric windows.
clock34 if you get somewhere with the project please let me know.

Andy

ive got all the stuff for this i bought yesterday.... i said it would take a while... :p.

ill get cracking with it tomorrow and upload some pictures if it works....

also, after getting all the parts, i can almost certainly say its going to work after a proxy align :). its a completely self contained unit bar the can line.

update to the above post.

i removed the dash today and swapped out the heaterbox. also used a new dash loom and can now confirm that is all is needed to do the swap.

i have 100% working digital climate control in my car :). though got to say its a headache beyond beleif and only worth it if you have a donor there and time :).

some things to note.... you need the donor dash loom as although the heater unit is self contained the one can line plug has a extra two wires my other loom didnt... but other than that plug and play tbh

ill put pics up later. it took way too much effort to be worthwile haha but looks alot better now...

after instal everything worked as should but just with flashing milage to which im expecting a proxy align to fix :)

im unsure what the extra wires are for. my old loom didnt have them and the donor loom obviosly did as it came from a factory fitted one.. so i cant say where they go really.

the new loom plugged directly into my old fuse box though and it worked so no extra fuses or anything needed there so who knows....

Hi All... really need some help here. Thanks in advance.

I've been going through most of the chats regarding the replacement of the manual Ac to Climate control. I would like to do this myself as well as I believe the plastic flap mentioned in the chat is broken and I'll have to take everything apart anyway so i what to just change it.
