I went to Arc Car Wash last week, been through many times, and don't know how, but the top roller snagged the wiper arm/blade and bent it up! While doing this, the roller came down against the windscreen, thankfully no damaged caused by this.

They do not accept responsibility which I am appealing against. Never going to an Arc car wash again.

should never take a stilo through an auto washer, have read stories on here of them smashing the rear screen.

Its ok to put the works van through one of these things but there's no way I put my pride and joy through one ... :nono:

I'd go to one of those snow foam car washes, but nothing else. And even then i'd only car wash when I couldn't do it myself.

i echo what everyone has said i would hand wash only using the 2bm method, carwashes like those wreck paint, my current car had loads of fine marks all over when i got it, 2 weeks of da with different compounds to get rid of most of them and then a filler polish AG super resin to top it off followed by 2 coats deep shine and thats sorted but alot of work

Most car washes these days give you a long plastic bag to put over the rear wiper to avoid snags. Agree with the other members though, use a jet wash to rinse, and a sponge to clean. Less scratches and a much better job as you'll get the bits car washes always miss.
