After 10 months of fault free motoring, i now have the engine fault light flashing on dash, changed plugs eliminating which of the 4 plug coils was missing and replaced, still there nothing from 2,been to garage who checked cables running back to ecu and said all was OK theve suggested ecu replaced, is there anything else I could try not a mechanic/electrition but I dabble in the easy options, any help advice appreciated.

Did you replace the spark plugs and the coils?
Hi Mark just replaced coil on cylinder 2 as other 3 were slowing engine when pulled. I did replace all 4 plugs though cheapest option first and all that.
