White used to be the reserve of cheap budget cars (still is to some degree) white is nice and cheap which it why every van truck and lorry used to be white, so as a result people didnt want white cars, metallic paint was the normal upgrade, with a few solid colours for those not wanting to splash out extra.

Now virtually every car comes in white unless you pay extra. Audi and Mercedes did several adverts using white cars and now every one wants white cars even though they look like a builders transit, and after a few years every little scratch looks ten times worse than on any other colour

I prefer the candy or polar white options. The new VW Scirocco in white is gorgeous. Plain old white is bland.

Just bought a 2006 Stilo Dynamic diesel Multiwagon in white,

I have never seen one in this colour before, but the colour of the car was the last thing that I was worried about!:worship:

But I am now noticing a lot of Audi TT s and other expensive models in white, so can't be that bad!

Our last Stilo was metallic grey and was as bad as black for looking dirty very quickly, especially on our rainy roads recently.

I love white cars, and have been trying to get my hubby to buy one for years lol..maybe I'm a bit of a saddo but just think they look cool. Not seen any white stilos around though, although tbh, I don't see may stilos around at all!

regards white cars, I am from South Africa, tho been in UK for last 25 years, and in a hot climate a white car is a bonus, as black cars seem to soak up the heat!:)

You can say that again. (Although the Mythbusters busted that one some time ago)

Mine is also white, have driven numerous other colored cars previously, and found that white is the best color, for fixing small chips, dents and scratches.

I would have thought that white would have been the default color, and all other colors the special one's.

In holland you also got a forum and there are only 4 whites and like 4/500 other black and blue's :p
